Auto Copy Records in bulk duplicates Airtable records according to a count stored in each source record. Specify how many new copies to create, then run the automation across the selected records.
What you can do
- Use a numeric field to request a different number of copies for each record.
- Create copies in the same Airtable table.
- Reset the requested-copy count to zero after successful processing.
Example workflow
An operations team can use a template task record with Copies to Make set to 3 to create three additional tasks. The original remains, and the count is reset so the same request is not intentionally repeated on the next successful run.
How to get started
Select the table and Number of Copies field. Enter positive whole-number counts on the records to duplicate, filter the intended records, and test a small request before running in bulk.
Good to know
Copies are created in the same table. Linked-record values keep their existing relationships rather than duplicating related records.
