Send a person a link that takes them to their miniExtensions Form or Portal without typing their login details again. A magic link identifies the relevant Airtable user record, making it easier to return to a customer account, application or employee portal.

Make returning easier

An onboarding email can take a new employee straight to their portal without re-entering their login details. When email or phone verification is enabled, they still receive and enter the verification code.

Convenient, user-specific access

Magic links are useful for returning customers, applicants and team members. Successful logins can be remembered in the browser, making subsequent visits easier. Treat them as personal access links and share them only with the intended recipient. For a one-off update to a specific record, a direct form editing link may be a better fit.

Here’s an example of a form that uses a login page. You can follow the different links to automatically log in as different users.

Note: Once you’ve logged in as a specific user, the link to the login page will also take you to that user’s record, since logins are saved in your browser for convenience. There’s an option to log out in the top right corner.
