Create Airtable records from emails sent to a dedicated miniExtensions address. Email to Record Importer gives your automation an inbound email address and maps incoming messages into fields in your selected Airtable table.
What you can do
- Receive emails at a generated address.
- Create a new Airtable record for each incoming message.
- Map the sender, subject, plain-text body, and attachments.
A receiving address for new records
Use the generated email address for direct delivery or forward messages from an existing mailbox. Map the sender, subject, plain-text body, and optional attachments into your destination table.
Each incoming email creates a new record, making it useful for enquiries, requests, or supplier messages that your team wants to organize in Airtable. The message body is stored as text rather than preserving the original HTML email layout.
The automation receives messages sent to its address; it does not read a mailbox’s existing history. Conversation grouping, assignment, and follow-up can be handled by your separate Airtable workflow rather than assumed to happen during import.
A practical example
A team can forward supplier enquiries to its generated address and receive a new Airtable record containing the sender, subject, message text, and any successfully imported attachments. Airtable views can then organize the records by assignment or review status.
Those assignment and follow-up fields remain part of the team’s Airtable workflow; this importer supplies the incoming email record.
How to get started
Choose the destination table and map the email fields. Send a test to the generated address, then use direct delivery or forwarding for regular intake.
Good to know
Each received message creates a new record. The importer does not automatically combine replies into a thread or read existing mailbox history.
