miniExtensions connects Airtable records to Anthropic’s Claude models so you can summarize, classify, translate, or rewrite text and save the response into your base. Select the field containing the source text, add instructions if needed, and choose an output field.

Input and instructions
The Input Field supplies the text for each record. An optional Additional Prompt tells Claude what to do with that text: summarize a ticket, rewrite a description, translate a note, or identify a topic. Use one shared prompt when the task is consistent, or select a prompt field when the instructions vary by record.
A formula can combine instructions with other record values before the request is sent. Claude’s response goes into the selected Output Field, keeping the original text available alongside the result. Choose a listed model or a custom model available to your Anthropic account.
For repeat runs, Skip preserves populated outputs while Overwrite regenerates them. A filtered Airtable view can narrow the records processed, and the available run options support manual, scheduled, or webhook-driven processing.
Examples of workflows
Summarize support tickets
Use a ticket’s description as the input and ask for a concise summary that preserves the reported problem. Save the response into a summary field so staff can review it alongside the original ticket.
Standardize product descriptions
Ask Claude to rewrite descriptions using a consistent structure and tone. Keep the source and output in separate fields so edits can be reviewed before publication.
Categorize feedback
Supply the allowed categories in the prompt and ask Claude to return the best match with a short explanation. Review the response before using it in a workflow that expects a fixed set of values.
How to get started
Connect your base, select the input text, prompt, model, and output field. Add an Anthropic API key for normal processing and try a sample record.

This automation processes text, rather than attachments. Anthropic usage charges and model limits apply; review AI-generated results before use.
