Delete Comments removes Airtable comments from the records selected for processing. It can be used after a reviewed migration of comment history into fields or for a deliberate cleanup of a defined set of records.

- Delete the comments retrievable through the connected Airtable account.
Use cases and examples
A team moving communication history into a text field can first run Export Comments to Airtable Fields and verify the exported text. Once the retained history is confirmed, this separate automation can remove the selected records’ original comments.
- Moving collaboration into fields: Export existing comments to a long-text field with the comments-export automation, review that copy, then remove deletable comments when moving collaboration away from record comments.

Choose the table and filtered record scope. Confirm any required export before deleting comments.
Good to know
This removes comments and does not create a backup. Verify any exported history before deleting the originals.
