Auto Delete Records removes Airtable records selected by a view or configured conditions. Use it for a deliberate cleanup workflow where records should actually be deleted rather than simply hidden from working views.
What you can do
- Choose the table to process.
- Select records with a filtered view and/or conditions.
- Run the deletion workflow on demand or through the configured automatic run options.
Use cases and examples
A team can collect disposable test records in a dedicated filtered view and use that view as the cleanup scope. Confirm the view contains only the intended records before enabling repeat runs.
- Time-based record cleanup: Use an Airtable view filtered by age and other criteria to select records for a scheduled cleanup. Review that view carefully before deleting its records.
How to get started
Select the table, define the filtering scope, and test on a copy or a small disposable selection. Inspect the records selected by that scope before running deletion in the working base.
Good to know
This deletes records rather than archiving them. Check the selected scope; use an archive field when records should remain recoverable in your workflow.
