Every time you scan, a new record is created
⚠️ Update

We have added new features to miniExtensions Form that allow you to scan barcodes rapidly. It can now be used as a replacement for this extension.

This tool provides you with a barcode scanner that automatically creates new Airtable records every time a barcode or QR code is scanned. Also, you have an option to edit some fields after it is created.

💡Link Records Automatically

The “barcode” field can be in any field type. So if you select a linked record field, the new record will be auto-linked when it’s created (if it exists). If the scanned value doesn’t exist, a new linked record will be created.

This extension is the fastest way to check-in inventory or attendees by scanning many barcodes and QR codes rapidly. Each scan takes less than a second to complete. The camera gets relaunched automatically after each scan without pressing anything. This is ideal for continuous and rapid scanning.

⚠️ Android 11 Notice

We had reports that some Android 11 users had issues with the barcode scanner. Please test the scanner to make sure it works on your device and does not suffer from any issues.
