Video Player generates shareable browser-player links for video attachments stored in Airtable. Use the links to let recipients view selected files without giving them access to the full base.
What you can do
- Choose a video attachment field in the selected table.
- Generate player links for up to the first five attachments on a record.
- Retrieve the current attachment URL when a player page is opened.
Use cases and examples
A production team can store review clips in Airtable and share a record’s player links with a reviewer. The reviewer opens the selected clip in a browser while the team keeps the underlying record in its base.
- Video previews: Share a browser player link with someone who needs to preview a record’s video attachments.
- External video review: Let external collaborators watch supported video attachments without granting access to the Airtable base or a shared view. Use only videos appropriate for anyone receiving the link.
How to get started
Select the attachment field and copy the Video Player URL Formula into an Airtable formula field. Test representative clips on the browsers and devices recipients will use before sharing widely.
Good to know
Playback depends on browser format support. Links refer to attachment positions; this tool does not transcode video.
